Graduate AssistantshipsPlease review the description and information below before applying for a Graduate Assistantship. EligibilityMIS or E-Business Masters or PhD students are eligible to apply for MIS graduate assistantships. As a GA you are expected to register for at least three courses each semester. You are not allowed to hold other part time or full time positions. New Students: To be eligible for consideration for a GA award your application file must be complete. We cannot make a decision unless the admissions office informs us that the application file is complete. Due DatesThe due date for MIS GA applications is the same as the due date for admission to the graduate programs in the Fox School of Business and Management. The current dates for Fall admissions is March 15, and for Spring admissions, it is September 30. Applications after that date will be considered on an as available basis. We reserve the right to award positions to candidates who submit their material before the admission deadline. Selection CriteriaGA positions will be awarded based on the following:
In some cases, we may require a telephone or face to face interview to process your application further. A committee of MIS faculty will select the candidates. NotificationIf you have been selected to receive a GA award you will be notified by email. In addition, you will also receive a formal letter from the Fox School of Business and Management. The formal letter will contain an acceptance form that you must fill out and return to the provided address as soon as possible and before the listed due date. If you do not return this form then your GA position may be awarded to another applicant. The letter will be sent to the address of record in the university registration or admissions system. |
