Information Technology Leader Award The Fox Information Technology Leadership Award is given to a person for leadership in the use and development of IT in business.
Bill McDermott is a member of the executive board of SAP AG and serves as President of Global Field Operations, overseeing the company's strategic business activities around the globe. Previously, McDermott was responsible for managing SAP's operations in the United States, Canada and Latin America and in the Asia Pacific Japan region. Since McDermott's arrival, SAP USA has delivered 25 consecutive quarters of market share gains, revenue growth and customer satisfaction improvements. Prior to joining SAP, McDermott served as executive vice president of Worldwide Sales and Operations at Siebel Systems, and president of Gartner, Inc. Prior to that he was at Xerox Corporation, where he rose through the ranks to become the company's youngest corporate officer and division president. In 1997, McDermott's division received the Malcolm Baldrige Award. McDermott has received numerous awards including Idealist of the Year by City Year Greater Philadelphia, Humanitarian of the Year by Triangle, Inc., the Yitzhak Rabin Public Services Award, and the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Applied Technology. In 2005, McDermott was elected to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and to the Chamber Foundation Board. McDermott received an MBA degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and he completed the Executive Development Program at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton Graduate School of Management. He received his B.S. degree in business administration from Dowling College. In 2004, McDermott was elected to the Dowling College Board of Trustees and was also recognized by Dowling College as its Alumnus of the Year in 2003. Information Technology Innovator Award The Fox Information Technology Innovator Award is given to a person for applying IT to create business opportunity.
Jonathan A. Brassington is the CEO and a Founding Partner of LiquidHub, a technology consultancy and systems integrator, where he manages Consulting Operations, Finance, and Personnel Development. In addition, he acts as a strategic consultant in engagements with LiquidHub clients. Mr. Brassington was formerly a Partner with Broadreach Consulting, where he was accountable for the Consulting Services organization. Prior to his role as Partner, Mr. Brassington was the Vice- President of Management Consulting at Broadreach, where he managed and participated in eBusiness strategy and management consulting projects. Mr. Brassington also functioned in a variety of IT roles with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and Nabisco Brands. He received his dual BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from College Misericordia, and a cross-disciplinary Masters degree in Telecommunications Operations from the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Brassington is a member of the Young Presidents Organization, a Wharton Fellow, and a trustee of Misericordia University. Information Technology Award for Distinguished Alumni The Fox IT Award for Distinguished Alumni is given to a person to recognize a distinguished career in information technology and their contribution to the community, industry, or Temple University.
Philip P. Jaurigue Philip P. Jaurigue is founder and President of Sabre Systems, Inc., a technology, engineering, and professional services company supporting defense and civilian agencies as well as clients in the private sector. Sabre employs over 600 employees throughout the U.S. and worldwide. Mr. Jaurigue was awarded the 2002 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Philadelphia and was inducted in the EOY Hall of Fame. In 1998 and 1999, Sabre was also listed on the Inc. Magazine Fast 500. Sabre is a multiple recipient of the Philadelphia 100 Award, including a record-setting seven consecutive years. In 2004, Mr. Jaurigue was inducted as a charter member of the Philadelphia 100 Hall of Fame. He currently serves as President of the Philadelphia 100 Alumni Association, organizing professional development programs for member firms. Mr. Jaurigue serves as Chairman of SMART, an organization supporting science and technology initiatives in the 4-State Region (DE, MD, NJ and PA). Mr. Jaurigue is also a board member of Gilda’s Club of Delaware Valley, an organization supporting those living with cancer and their families. He is also part time co-host on the weekly WWDB radio program, “Executive Leaders Radio,” discussing entrepreneurial topics and experiences in the Philadelphia business community. He also leads a youth music ministry at his church. Mr. Jaurigue holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and received his MBA from Temple University. He also received a post-graduate certificate from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth University. |
